My research focuses on ways in improve student scientist performance in the classroom and the teaching lab. I am interested in what things motivate or demotivate students to participate in the classroom. I am also passionate about bringing novel research into the classroom and the teaching lab related to microbiology and biochemistry. Projects may focus on analysis of classroom data and/or developing new benchwork modules for the teaching lab.
Requirements to Participate
A desire to learn more about pedagogy, education research, and to develop wet lab skills as needed by the project. Strong communication skills and a sense of responsibility. Ability to work independently and with others. Being a good team member by sharing ideas, questions, and concerns. 4 hours per week per unit. Minimum 2 units.
