Entering and analyzing data in the High Risk Clinic Genetics Database. Includes all patients seen in the High Risk Clinic for familial/genetic risk for cancers. Responsibilities include:
Complete back-log of data accumulating after COVID-19 crisis diverted database manager to other duties
Maintain "up-to-date" data entry
Learn data analytic skills to extract data for analysis
Assist clinic administrators to utilize data for clinical improvement initiatives
Assist researchers to answer research question and to co-author publications
Requirements to Participate
Interest in genetic causes of cancers.
Interest in entering precise data on patients.
Interest in analysis of data for research and quality improvement projects. Minimum 1 year commitment, 3-4 hours/week, minimum 2 units.
Faculty Means of Evaluation
Attendance: 20Pts (working assigned hours, being on time)
Data entry: 40Pts (quality, accuracy, synthesis of information and safety)
Communication: 20Pts (Written/Oral reports, questions and discussion with mentor)
Lab citizenship: 20Pts (organization, data clean up and follow through)
